Laminate Protects from Plastic Folders

In addition to protecting CMY prints from handling mishaps, the clear laminate layer also prevents the print's dyes from transferring to plastic sleeves and folders.

Prints using KODAK EKTATHERM XTRALIFE Media are protected with our durable laminate layer.		 OtherPrint-Dye removed by plastic sleeve

This is an ordinary thermal print with its dye stripped away by a plastic sleeve.
 

Laminate Layer Protects from Fingerprints

The clear laminate layer which is applied in a separate pass in the printing process process extends the life of your print. You can handle prints made with Xtralife media with confidence.

XtraLife Print

Prints using KODAK EKTATHERM XTRALIFE Media resist damage from fingerprints, which often occurs in the normal handling of prints.		 OtherPrint-Dye removed by plastic sleeve

An ordinary thermal print is susceptible to damage from normal handling.
 

Laminate Layer Protects from Fading

Extensive testing has been done to demonstrate that KODAK XTRALIFE Media fade less under intense lighting.

This extends the life of the prints.
